People still living inside the old fort of Jaisalmer. It is the only fort left in Rajasthan were people still live inside the walls of the fortification. Built in 1156 by the Bhati Rajput ruler Jaisal, Jaisalmer Fort with massive sandstone walls are an important tourist attraction.
